We're entirely volunteer run, so please allow up to 48 hours. Funding requests go into a queue and are answered in order — we promise we do read every one.
No — and this is the thing we get asked most. We're a fundraising charity, not a rescue. We have no kennels, no foster homes and no dogs of our own. What we do is raise money and donate it towards the vet bills of dogs in need, so the rescues doing the hands-on work can keep saying yes.
No. We started as a group of malamute owners and the name stuck, but we soon realised we could help far more dogs than that. We now help all breeds.
No. We're registered in England and Wales, and our charity registration also covers Ireland, Cyprus, Dubai, China, Australia and the USA. A dog in need is a dog in need, wherever it is.
Please get in touch using the form and choose Requesting funding for a dog. Include the dog's situation, the treatment needed and your vet's details. We concentrate on urgent, palliative and general veterinary costs, particularly extreme abuse and emergency cases.
Email shop@malamutematters.co.uk with your order reference and we'll sort it. Anything faulty gets replaced, no quibbles.
