Made from 16 Plait 12mm poly hollow braid rope the snub line is approximately 20 foot ( 6 meters) in length and comes complete with a quick release snap sometimes known as a panic snap. Snub Lines are used by mushers to secure a dog team to an object on the trail such as a tree. They are usually attached to the sled, rig or scooter and when required released and wrapped around the tree with the panic snap in handy reach of the musher for release when ready. The other end of the snub is usually attached to the gangline directly so that the pressure from the dogs pulling is not transmitted through the vehicle
